Communication
Communication with parents is vital in our school as it helps us establish and foster a strong partnership between home and school, enhancing the overall experience for every child. Open and effective communication will ensure that you are well informed about your child's progress, school events, policies and any issues that may affect your child's learning or well-being.
We understand that both parents and school staff are wholly invested in meeting the needs of your child, and will always discuss this with you in a professional and sensitive manner. Mutual respect is essential in making sure that your child receives the best possible care, and we would ask that you are familiar with the Parent Partnership Agreement at the bottom of the page when speaking with school staff. This ensures that conversations remain focussed on meeting the needs of your child. Breaches of this Code of Conduct, although rare, are taken extremely seriously by the school's leadership team.
We may share information with you in a range of ways which may include the following:
Weduc
Weduc is the main communication platform used by the school. It is secure and confidential and available only to families of pupils registered at the school. Once your child is enrolled, you will be sent a link inviting you to sign up. You will receive regular notices and reminders of school events and are also able to use this platform for booking a range of items online.
Assembly
Attending an assembly where your child receives an award or takes part in showcasing learning with their class can be a very rewarding experience for you both. You are encouraged to attend our Celebration Assembly (Monday 9 - 9.20am) or Class Assembly (Friday 2.20 - 2.40pm) should your child be featuring in either of them. You will be notified by your child's class teacher if this is the case.
Parents' Evening
We hold 2 Parents' Evening per year (Autumn Term and Spring Term) and will invite you to make an appointment to visit your chid's teacher to find out more about how they have been getting on in school. It is important that you try to attend as this is an excellent opportunity to understand how you might be able to support your child further at home, or to raise any worries or concerns you may have.
Look in on Learning
At the end of every term, the school hosts and showcases the learning that your child has undertaken. This is a wonderful time to come and visit the school and see what your child has achieved in a relaxed and informal way. The whole school is open for you to visit and we always have a range of exciting activities taking place in the hall for you to enjoy with your child.
Drop off and Pick up
At the start and end of every day, a number of staff are available on the playground should you need to share any relevant information that will help us support your child, or to answer any questions you may have.
Newsletters
We send out a Newsletter at the start of every half term which is packed full of useful information, celebrations of successes from the previous half term and Diary Dates for the coming few weeks. Please see the latest Newsletter below.
