Parents

Eyres Monsell Primary School prides ourselves on our close and supportive working relationships with parents and carers.  At every opportunity, parents are invited into the school to share in their child's learning, meet with school staff or attend one of our wonderful community events as we know that working together is the best way to nurture our children to ensure they fulfil their potential.

Here are some of the ways we partner with parents to create a supportive and thriving school environment:

Open Communication

We maintain regular communication through a half-termly newsletter, parents' evenings, community 'Look in on Learning' events at the end of every term and our open door policy to ensure that you can come in to school at any time.  You are always welcome to reach out to us with questions, concerns or ideas.

Involvement Opportunities

Parents are encouraged to participate in school activities and we would love if you could ever spare any time to volunteer on a one-off or regular basis.  Your input really does make a huge difference.  Please speak to your child's class teacher if this is something you would like to be involved with.

Workshops

We hold information sessions at various times of the year to share information about how to support your child more effectively at home with their learning and meet their new year group team.  In collaboration with some of our community partners, we also hold workshops for parents around budgeting and adult learning opportunities.  Look out for these being advertised on our communication platform.

Meetings

There are opportunities to meet with school staff informally and formally throughout the school year through Parents' Evenings (autumn & spring term), SEND review meetings and any meeting that is mutually agreed.  Attending these meetings is essential in ensuring your child feels seen, supported and celebrated.

We really value the trust you place in our school in order to meet your child's needs and look forward to building a strong partnership with you.
