School Meals

Eyres Monsell Primary School provides high-quality, nutritious meals that cater to a range of dietary requirements.  Our menu is carefully designed by our school meals provider to ensure it is well balanced, with all food cooked freshly on site on a daily basis.  Children can choose to have a vegetarian, deli, meat or halal option with specific dietary needs catered for on request.

We are committed to creating a positive dining experience in our bright and vibrant dining hall, that provides children with the energy needed for a productive school day.

Specific diets for medical conditions

Special diets can be required for a wide variety of medical conditions including food allergies, food intolerance, diabetes and coeliac disease. A medically prescribed diet is one which has been prescribed by a medical consultant, general practitioner (GP) or registered dietitian. In some circumstances diet may be the only treatment of a medical condition or can form a major part of it. Pupils with specific food related medical conditions can be catered for if sufficient information is provided from the pupil’s medical consultant, general practitioner or registered dietitian to ensure that school catering services can safely meet the needs of the child.

If your child requires a specific diet in order to manage a medical condition, please contact the school office immediately.

Halal option

Your child may follow a special halal diet for religious or cultural reasons.  The school provide a halal meal service 2 days per week and if you would like your child to receive a halal meal you may complete the online form (Weduc) to ensure that we cater for them.
